Administrators can now auto-generate closing checklists when a listing transitions to "Under Contract" status.
The system pre-populates required document categories based on the asset vertical and collateral type, removing the need to manually assemble a checklist for every closing. For example, a hotel-vertical listing with real estate collateral will automatically include title, appraisal, and environmental review items, while an equipment-backed listing will surface lien release and UCC termination items instead.
This kind of vertical-and-collateral-aware templating was one of the most frequently requested features from the closing operations team, who had previously maintained a set of static checklist templates that needed to be manually selected and adjusted for each deal — a process prone to missed items, especially for less common collateral combinations like mixed real-estate-and-equipment notes.
Admins can still customize the generated checklist as needed — adding, removing, or reordering items to reflect deal-specific requirements — and progress is tracked in real time from the Closing Workflow page, giving both internal teams and, where applicable, external counsel a single shared view of outstanding items as a deal moves toward close.
Early usage data from the first weeks after launch shows a meaningful reduction in the average number of "missing document" flags raised during the closing review stage, which the operations team views as the clearest sign the automation is catching gaps that previously required a human reviewer to notice manually.
This automation is intended to reduce closing delays caused by missing documentation, and the team plans to expand the template library to cover additional collateral type combinations based on deal volume and feedback over the coming quarters.
